
Eligibility requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or PhD programme or have graduated within the past two years.
- Be proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French or Spanish. Fluency in the working language of the office you are applying to, may also be required.
- Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university/education records.
- Have no immediate relatives (e.g. mother, father, sister, brother) working with UNICEF.
- Have no other relatives in your reporting line of authority.
- Be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities include:
- Create data visualizations including interactive charts, maps and dashboards based on UNICEF’s data work.
- Write, edit, design, and produce secondary outreach materials such as emails, blog posts, social media assets and infographics using CRM platforms.
- Produce internal communications assets such as ICON stories, Global Broadcast Messages and Yammer posts. Ensure cohesion between public and internal-facing websites.
- Provide support to the Data Communication team with other communication activities as needed.
- Perform ETL operations on UNICEF’s Data Bricks analytics environment
- Update data and reference data structures on UNICEF’s indicator data warehouse
- Add new data sources to UNICEF’s data catalogue
Duration
This will be a full-time internship; the duration of the internship will be for 6 months.
Salary/Payment:
In accordance with UNICEF’s guidelines, interns will be paid a stipend that varies depending on their location. There is no expectancy of employment at the end of the internship. UNICEF is not responsible for obtaining any necessary visas.
